About Gena

Gena is a wife, mother, and grandmother currently living and serving in Doha, Qatar.  

She and her husband, Dan have been married for 38 years, have 4 adult children and are “Gigi” and “Pops” to 5 adorable grandchildren.

Originally, from the Texas Panhandle, Dan and Gena relocated their family to Katy in 1998, Gena served at 2nd Baptist’s West Campus writing children’s curriculum and working as the Director of Children’s Ministry until they moved to Qatar. While in Doha, Gena has taught women’s groups in Doha, Delhi, Italy, Uganda, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Jordan.

Gena is currently in the final semester of her ThM (Master of Theology) at Dallas Theological Seminary. Due to graduate in December.

Gena developed a deep love of Scripture - and the Author of it – at an early age. It is her greatest joy to help others know, love, and serve the LORD.
